HUAWEI phone battery optimization manual

The Android operating system and its EMUI extensions on Huawei phones mean that as soon as the FIXED Smart application is run in the background, it is automatically deactivated by the system and subsequently your smart trackers do not work properly or are disconnected.

To resolve this issue, follow this guide to grant an exception for the FIXED Smart app. The screenshots used in the guide are from a Huawei Mate 20 Pro running Android 9, EMUI 9.1.0. The settings may vary slightly on other phones running different Android versions and builds.

1. Open the Settings app from the app drawer

2. In the list of options, select Applications

3. Tap the three dots

4. Select Special Access

5. Go to Battery Optimization

6. Search for the FIXED Smart app

7. Select "Disable" and save the settings. Done! :-)
